3D Print on Demand Policy

3D Print on Demand Policy

You must be a patron of the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library to order 3D printed items. Each patron may request up to one copy of each item.

Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will attempt to fulfill your order as soon as possible, but as items are made upon request, please allow 1-2 weeks for your order to ship. If production or shipping times are delayed, we will attempt to notify the recipient.

All items are printed with PLA (polylactic acid) plastic in a single color. The color of items is dependent on availability; specific colors cannot be requested.

If you’re ordering dice, please note our dice are made with PLA, while most standard dice are made with acrylic or resin. Our dice may have rougher edges and be lighter weight than standard dice.

Only designated library staff will have hands-on access to the 3D printer.
