Located along the eastern shore of Puget Sound between Seattle and Tacoma, Des Moines is a city of 29,270 inhabitants.
Located in Southeastern Washington, near the foothills of the Blue Mountains to the south, Dayton is a small town (2,735 population) that is full of history. Besides being located along the Lewis and Clark Trail, it’s also home to the historic Columbia County Courthouse (pictured below) and the Dayton Historic Depot. Now a museum, the depot was built in 1881, and is the oldest surviving passenger train station in the state.
