Join us for White Cane Day Walk 2023!

White Cane Day is a national observance in the United States, celebrated on October 15 of each year since 1964. The date is set aside to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of blindness and tool of independence, the white cane.

10:00am: The Walk begins!
10:20-45: Walkers arrive at WTBBL
11:00am: Welcome Comments/ Booth Introduction

12:30: Event ends

WTBBL will host a reception and a vendor area, including the Department of Services for the Blind, DeafBlind Service Center,Guide Dogs for the Blind, Hope Vision Foundation, Lighthouse for the Blind, National Federation of the Blind, Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, OneCourt (UW), Snohomish Lion's Club and Washington Council of the Blind.

There will be a group of volunteers to walk folks back to the starting place at 12:30.

Select organizations will be making presentations. More info to come.
