What if I miss the registration deadline?

Washington provides Same Day Registration

Registering online or by mail is offered until 8 days prior to Election Day. Washington citizens who still need to register (or update) after the deadline may complete this process in person at a voting center through Election Day at 8 p.m.

Appearing in person at a voting center ensures you will receive a ballot. Your ballot will be processed and counted once the county elections office verifies your voter registration information.

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, some county elections offices may have specific processes for accessing in-person services.
