Washington Archives Month 2026
Washington Archives Month
Welcome to Washington Archives Month! Each year in October, historical/cultural repositories and organizations across the state join together to share highlights of their archival collections. This year’s theme is FIND YOUR STORY: Choose Your Own Adventure in Archives!
Join us and other institutions on this month-long journey through our records, paying tribute to the stories of adventure and exploration in Washington. We are excited to celebrate the process of discovery inherent to research and learning, and hope that this Archives Month inspires you to “find yourself” in the historical record.
Washington Archives Month is supported by: the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, Seattle Municipal Archives, Washington State Archives, and the University of Washington Archives.
