The new Battle Ground Community Library (Fort Vancouver Regional Library District) has opened. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Construction plans for a new Kenmore Library (King County Library System) are still on hold, stuck in neutral until the local branch of the U.S. Post Office vacates the building library leaders want to demolish to make way for a new facility.

Sno-Isle Libraries and the Everett Public Library host the Big Read, a community reading of the “Maltese Falcon”. For more information check www.sno-isle.org. Nate Cushman, librarian at the Snohomish Library uses geocaching during the series of library events.

After some serious consideration, the Public Services staff has come to the decision that it is time to put an official end our blog.
