WTBBL closed to public

As of July 1, 2025, the library building is open by appointment only and phones go to voicemail due to loss of funding. Services continue as usual. To request an appointment, call 800-542-0866 or email [email protected].

Tech Training

WTBBL provides training on a variety of technologies that can be used to access our services.

We assist patrons with the following:

  • Downloading books via BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) on your computer or mobile device
  • Listening to books on our Digital Talking Book Players
  • Zoomax or HumanWare, the Braille eReaders
  • Introduction to iOS and Android accessibility features such as VoiceOver and TalkBack
  • Introduction to screen readers such as JAWS
  • Support with a limited range of commercially available assistive technologies

While we can guide you to information sources and other services, some questions or services may be beyond the scope and expertise of WTBBL. Editing or proofreading written works, transcribing personal documents, training in private residences, and general assistance with personal devices beyond those described above are examples of such services. We cannot offer interpretation, personal advice, recommendations, or opinions regarding specific products and services, or medical, legal, and tax questions.

Interested in personalized one-on-one training? Reserve a 60-minute virtual or in-person session with our Training & Assistive Technology Librarian by emailing [email protected] or calling 800-542-0866. Trainings can take place both in-person at the library or over the phone during library operating hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM).
