Historian Don Brazier writes the first comprehensive historical account of the Washington Legislature. Early settlers faced many challenges in trying to conduct legislative business including unreliable mail service, few passable roads, and sparsely populated settlements. Painstakingly researched, this book details session proceedings, debates, and issues of the day. Brazier spent many years in public service as State Representative, Chief Deputy Attorney General, Chair of the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission and lobbyist.
