These 16 prints are taken from a larger collection of artworks created during World War I. Artists were actively recruited; and served as captains in the Corps of Engineers. They traveled throughout the theater of operations, toured battlefields and accompanied troops from bivouacs to the front lines. Being embedded with the fighting troops resulted in accurate and startling war images.
