We are available to answer questions via telephone and email from 8AM - 5PM Monday through Friday. The Library's Reading Room is open from 10AM - 4PM, Tuesday through Friday

We are closed on weekends and state holidays. Email requests may be submitted any time.
Questions are answered in the order they are received. We do our best to respond within two business days. If you are looking for an obituary, more options are available for accessing obituaries in Washington newspapers.

In-Person
Schedule an appointment Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM to consult with a librarian or access the library's collections. We are located in Tumwater, Washington at 6880 Capitol Boulevard South. We are closed on state holidays and weekends. If you have questions about scheduling an appointment, we urge you to call or chat with us ahead of time in order to make the most of your visit.
