How to Receive an Absentee Ballot

How do you receive a ballot? Get registered to vote!

In Washington, voters do not request absentee ballots. All voters are automatically mailed a ballot at least 18 days before every election. To make sure we have your correct address, visit VoteWA.gov.

If you need to receive your ballot at a different address or need to get a replacement ballot, visit VoteWA.gov or contact your county elections office.

If it is within 90 days prior to a state primary or general election and you believe that you will be unable to return a ballot within the regular timeframe, contact your county elections office.
