Due to loss of funding, the Washington State Library in Tumwater is closed to the public starting July 1, 2025. We will respond to phone and email messages within one week. Learn more about affected services.
About the State Library
The State Library's Reading Room is open from 10 AM — 4 PM, Monday — Friday. Appointments to use the collection are strongly recommended.
Telephone, and email services are available from 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday — Friday.
The State Library is closed weekends and holidays.
