Do I Qualify?
To be eligible for Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), an applicant must:
Be a survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, or stalking; OR
Domestic violence
Refers to an act as defined in RCW 10.99.020 and includes a threat of such acts committed against an individual in a domestic situation, regardless of whether these acts or threats have been reported to law enforcement officers. >click for more information<Sexual assault
Refers to an act as defined in RCW 70.125.030 and includes an attempt to commit such acts against an individual, regardless of whether these acts or threats have been reported to law enforcement officers. >click for more information<Stalking
Refers to an act as defined in RCW 9A.46.110 and includes a threat of such acts committed against an individual, regardless of whether these acts or threats have been reported to law enforcement officers. >click for more information<Trafficking
Refers to an act as defined in RCW 9A.40.100 or an act recognized as a severe form of trafficking under 22 U.S.C. Sec. 7102(8) as it existed on June 12, 2008, or such subsequent date as may be provided by the secretary of state by rule, consistent with the purposes of this subsection, regardless of whether the act has been reported to law enforcement. >click for more information<
Be a criminal justice affiliate, elections official, or protected health care worker who has been the target of threats or harassment as defined in RCW 9A.46.020 or 9A.90.120; OR
Criminal Justice Affiliates
Refers to an act as defined in RCW 9A.46.020 and includes those who are a target of felony harassment prohibited under paragraph (2)(b)(iii) or (iv), and any household member. Applicable Criminal Justice Affiliates are listed under paragraph (4).
Elections Official
Refers to an act as defined in RCW 9A.90.120 and includes those who are a target of threats or harassment prohibited under subsection (2)(b)(iii) or (iv), and any household member. Applicable Election Officials are listed under subsection (5).
Protected Health Care Worker
Applicable Protected Health Care Workers are listed under Sec 2 (3) of ESHB 1469.
- Be a parent or guardian acting on behalf of a minor, or a guardian acting on behalf of an incapacitated person
AND
- Fear for their safety; AND
- Reside in Washington; AND
- Be an adult
**Household members of an applicant may also be eligible.**
**ACP is most effective if the applicant has recently, or is planning to, relocate to a new residence.**
