WAServes is a Coordinated Network of public, private and independent organizations, who share information, engage in cross referrals, and work together to provide comprehensive support for veterans and their families.
National Guard - Washington Military Department: Taking Care of Our Guard Families and Veterans
A one-stop center for all Washington National Guard Veteran and Family Readiness services. Responsible for Deployment Cycle Support and Reintegration (Yellow Ribbon) Programs, Veterans Transition Assistance, the Family Programs Office, the full-time Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Coordinator, Suicide Prevention, the Chaplain, the Employer Support to the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) office, and a newly established Director of Psychological Health.

HUD.gov: Veteran Information
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has a number of resources for veterans, including those to help with homelessness, learn about FMLA for family of service members, find out about VA health care eligibility, find jobs, and much more.
Housing Assistance for Veterans
This collaborative program between HUD and VA combines HUD housing vouchers with VA supportive services to help Veterans who are homeless and their families find and sustain permanent housing.
Legal Resources
Military & Veteran Legal Resource Guide
Because of their service, there are federal and state laws that extend certain rights and benefits to veterans and service members, including laws to help avoid credit and foreclosure problems, and laws to protect against discrimination in employment and housing. Veterans and service members may also be entitled to healthcare, education and other benefits. The Washington State Attorney General's Office provides an excellent guide intended to educate veterans, military personnel and their families about the legal rights, protections, and benefits that may be available to them.

Request Your Military Service Records Online, by Mail, or by Fax. Military personnel records can include DD 214s/Separation Documents, service personnel records found within the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF), and medical records.
Employment Resources
WA Employment Security Department: Veteran Services
WorkSource helps thousands of military veterans - including disabled veterans - find jobs each year. As a veteran, you can get priority access to WorkSource services. This includes priority referrals to jobs that are listed with WorkSource, as well as other employment services.
U.S. Department of Labor: VETS
VETS serve America's veterans and separating service members by preparing them for meaningful careers, providing employment resources and expertise, and protecting their employment rights.
Community Employment Coordinators' Contact List
The VA created the Homeless Veterans Community Employment Services program to make it easier for business and industry to find, interview and hire job-ready Veterans exiting homelessness. The VA has deployed more than 150 Community Employment Coordinators to collaborate with employers ready to hire Veterans exiting homelessness. Find a coordinator in your area using this database
