Library Now: Resources for Libraries
The Washington State Library's direct involvement with the LibraryNow Project ended as of December 31, 2014. Some libraries continue to offer the LibraryNow app, while others have chosen to end their involvement in the project. Check the app itself for continuing participation. These project webpages are provided for historical and archival purposes.
Library Now Renewals
This past fall marked the final quarter of the Allen Family Foundation funding for the WSL Library Now project, which is providing WA libraries with the mobile app from Boopsie. Starting in January, 2015, participating libraries are responsible for their ongoing Library Now subscription costs. To renew your Library Now subscription with Boopsie, please fill out and return the Intent_to_Renew_Form.
To obtain Library Now usage stats for an individual library, contact Katie Stinson at Boopsie:

To provide information that libraries need for making renewal decisions, we scheduled two Library Now webinars in October. The webinars provided the latest information from Boopsie, including information on usage statistics, the successful online marketing campaign, survey results, how to renew, new app features, and more. Staff from Boopsie were the primary presenters. The PowerPoint Presentation slide deck used by Boopsie staff in the presentation is available, as is an archival recording of the webinar.
To view the archived version of the webinar, follow this shortcut link: http://sos.wa.gov/q/LN-Renewal. Note: You need a current version of Java installed on your computer to view this webinar archive recording. Once you load the Blackboard Collaborate platform, the recording loads, but doesn't start running until you select Playback/Player/Play from the command menu.
The webinars ran on our Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate) platform.
The agenda for the webinar:
- Statewide and individual library usage statistics
- How to get your stats
- What the numbers mean
- The successful online marketing campaign
- Project evaluation reporting
- Surprising results from the user survey
- Upcoming library staff survey
- Subscription renewals with Boopsie
- Library Now new and old
- New integration features
- LibraryNow overview
