The State Library will be closed on August 30, 2017 for staff training. No appointments, online chat, or telephone assistance will be available that day.
Information for the Public
Welcome to the Washington State Library's public portal for our downloadable audiobooks project. Libraries throughout Washington State are providing downloadable audiobooks (aka eaudiobooks) through their websites as part of this project. These downloadable audiobooks may be listened to on your computer, or through a compatible portable listening device (e.g. ipods and other mp3 players).
To get started:
Find a Participating Library — Public | Academic | Don't Know/Not Listed
Check to see if your local Washington public or academic library is offering downloadable audiobooks through either the OverDrive or NetLibrary services. Not sure who your library is, or don't see them listed? We can help you find the closest library, and provide contact information to contact non-participating libraries to tell them you'd like them to offer downloadable audio.
Help with OverDrive — How to Download | How to Transfer | Additional Info
If your library's downloadable audiobooks are provided through a page with "overdrive.com" in the URL, then they are providing materials through OverDrive.
Help with Recorded Books — Help for Recorded Books is being compiled and should be available here soon. In the meantime, look for help on the OneClickdigital site.
If your library's downloadable audiobooks are provided through a page with OneClickdigital.com in the URL, then they are providing materials through Recorded Books and its OneClickdigital platform.
