The Point-No-Point Treaty signed

The Point-No-Point Treaty negotiations and signing took place on the north-east shore of Kitsap County. Under the terms of the treaty, the U.S. Government received land from the Clallam, Chimakum, Skokomish and neighboring allied tribes. In exchange, these tribes received reservation land, monetary payments, hunting and fishing rights and government services. On April 18, 1859.the U.S. Senate ratified the treaty.
