Women’s Suffrage granted by the Territorial Legislature then struck down by the Court

On January 18, 1888 the Territorial Legislature passed a law stating “That all citizens of the United States, male and female . . . shall be entitled to vote at any election in this Territory . . .” However, on August 14, 1888, the Territorial Supreme Court reversed the law in its ruling on the case of Nevada Bloomer v. John Todd, et al.
