Includes an overview of the program, analysis of the specific common core skills that History Day projects develop, an overview of thee process of putting together successful History Day project, presentation of actual History Day projects by teachers and students, and a review of local/regional research sources for topics related to the theme “Triumph and Tragedy in History." Handouts will include a CD containing the History Day Teachers Manual, a guide for meeting Common Core Standards through National History Day, and an overview of primary and secondary source research skills, sample collections of primary sources that can be used in the classroon.
