Due to the 2015-17 operating budget passed by the State Legislature, the Productivity Board will be suspended for two years.
For the last three decades, the Productivity Board has received over 25,435 suggestions resulting in a $62,014,443 in first-year savings, saving taxpayers $10 for every one dollar spent on the program.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you. We hope to serve you and Washington's taxpayers and state employees again sometime in the future.
Teamwork Incentive Program (TIP)
Teamwork Incentive Program (TIP) is a program that provides cash incentives for teamwork. TIP helps supervisors and workers develop successful teams and meet the Governor’s requirements for continuous improvements and total quality processes. Cash awards provide incentives for every team member involved in the process improvement. TIP team awards are paid from the net savings and/or gains in revenue, which directly result from the TIP process.
Applications must include a summary of the problem, a summary of the solution, performance measures and must have agency approval. Applications may be submitted before or after an idea is implemented.
The Productivity Board has the authority to award a team up to 25% of identifiable results, not to exceed $10,000 per team member. The Teamwork Incentive Program is governed by Chapter 41.60 RCW and Chapter 383.07 WAC.
