FirstSearch Administrative Functions: OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing Basics Description: Access the FirstSearch administrative module to create data records that eliminate repetitive data entry. Participants will devise constant data and saved notes, review the use and implementation of IFM (ILL Fee Management) as well as create custom holdings groups, custom holdings paths and direct request profile to improve service in all aspects of resource sharing. TThe functions of the FirstSearch Administrative Module can leverage your investment in your FirstSearch subscription and your visibility on the open web. This workshop will cover the various customization options for the patron interface. Participants will also learn to create links between authorizations, local catalogs, and Open URL services as well as enable deep linking to local catalog records to WorldCat.org. Statistical reports for reference and WorldCat.org will also be covered.
