TLC3 (Common Core) Daycamp 2014
Description:In June, 2014, the Teacher-Librarian Common Core Cadre (TLC3) will hold eight free, day-long trainings. The TLC3 Project will provide resources and professional development for teacher-librarians to serve as building and district leaders for the successful implementation of Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts (ELA). The training will empower teacher-librarians to provide leadership in CCSS implementation by focusing on reading for information, understanding text complexity, and developing research skills. While TLC3 training will target K-12 teacher-librarians, TLC3 resources and professional development tools will be available to all educators and school administrators, public librarians, and communities engaged with Common Core implementation. During this *day-long training, attendees will participate in interactive, take-away activities that can be implemented in schools and districts. Additionally, participants will have access to support materials. Six (6) clock hours will be offered through OSPI at no cost. Forms will be available at the training sites. Please bring your own lunch.
