The Library Council of Washington meet to discuss issues affecting libraries across the state.

The Library Council of Washington advises the State Librarian and the Office of the Secretary of State on statewide library issues and the expenditure of federal funds.

Each year the Washington State Library submits an annual report on the use of LSTA funding to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Prior year reports can be found on IMLS' State Program Report page.

Five-Year Plan and Evaluation

The LSTA Five-Year Plan guides the activities to be conducted for federal LSTA awards given out from federal fiscal year 2023 through federal fiscal year 2027. The current plan has been approved by IMLS (Approval Letter Adobe Reader - Click to Download) and became effective on October 1, 2022.
