eBooks weren't originally within the scope of this project, but most libraries using OverDrive now offer eBooks. As with eaudiobooks, there are numerous sites out there that offer free ebooks.

Bookboon: Free Textbooks - Bookboon provides online textbooks for students in PDF format. The free ebooks can be downloaded without registration. Our books are legal and written exclusively for Bookboon. They are financed by a few in-book ads. - 20,000+ free eBooks library.

Feedbooks: Food for the Mind - Feedbooks is an ebook retailer, designed with mobile reading in mind, that also offers a significant number of free ebooks. - Free online computer science, engineering and programming books, textbooks, and lecture notes.

Foboko - An easy to use website that allows anyone to write, design, and publish eBooks free of charge, while allowing readers to break away from “typical” best sellers to discover independent and aspiring authors sharing their stories and wisdom today. - Thousands of full-text free books. - There are more than 29,000 eBooks available here and they're all free!

Planet eBook - A number of high quality ebooks meant to be a suitable alternative for print lovers.

Project Gutenberg - We carry high quality items: Our books were previously published on paper by bona fide publishers and digitized by us with the help of thousands of volunteers. All our ebooks can be easily downloaded: Choose between ePub, Mobipocket, HTML and simple text formats.
