College Civics

Sign up to be a College Civics Liaison for your campus!

This unique leadership position gives you hands-on experience organizing civics education and voter registration events. Liaisons are responsible for acting as a campus coordinator for the Secretary of State’s annual College Civics Week tour, as well as bringing civic engagement and voter registration efforts to their campus throughout the year. As a College Civics Liaison, you will have the opportunity to receive training, meet with elected officials, and you may even be eligible for academic credit.

The College Civics Program is offered through Washington's Office of the Secretary of State. There is no cost to participate and volunteers are always welcome!

College Civics Liaisons are:

  • Studying at any Washington institute of higher education
  • From any academic field or major
  • Any age, year in school, or GPA
  • Dedicated to helping others participate in democracy and their communities
