This session is intended to familiarize state and local government agencies with the appraisal and transfer processes for Archival-designated paper and film records. Questions addressed include: - What records can be transferred to the Archives, and when?; - What information does the Archives need to start the process?; - Where can I get archival boxes?; - How are appraisals and transfers documented?; - What if someone requests a record after it has been transferred?
